This is Classic L, a stamp-carving fashion-forward dynamo known in some parts as Caelus, the blacksmith’s son who stole a Royal Gaurd’s gun and turned it into a badass magic canon that fires thunder instead of canon balls. He’s creative, fun, and a master of intellectual self-defense; you can often find him vigorously debating school laws and policies, taking all comers, in every corner of the building. As an older student here, Classic L is a role model; he says, “nothing is more satisfying than helping students be themselves.”
He goes on: “everyone [at HVSS] does a lot of learning from everyone else – we all have 80 teachers – and because of that we learn a lot, and we learn a lot of things that are actually more important than what we’d learn in traditional classes.”
He graciously credits HVSS with, “fostering my transition into adulthood;” outside of school he’s also been doing an internship in visual effects at Edgeworks Studios in Kingston, and plans to work in post-production after he graduates. Before that, however, he’ll be clerking our Judicial Committee, which is a very demanding job in more ways than one. We believe in you, Classic L, and we’ve got your back, we’ll be here when you need us, just like you are for us. We’re so happy you’re here, and we’re grateful to you for enriching our school, and our minds, and making us laugh, and for turning Royal Guards’ guns into badass magical canons. Metaphorically speaking.
