Row

This is Row, an insatiable astro-novelist with an infectious smile and an imagination which is paralleled only in parallel universes. His interests cover most of Britannica, and he blends them like a Vitamix into delightful idea-smoothies. He’s always ready to recommend a book or collaborate on a game, and his “favorite animal is aliens. Actually seals.”

I caught up with him today as he was finishing some outdoor exercise: “that was a heck of a jog!” he said, panting. What have you been up to at school recently Row, I asked. “You know,” he said. Yeah, but will you tell me about it? “Well,” he said, “I’ve been jumping around on the tires, landing on different planets and monster trucks, and climbing trees and ropes to other planets and bigger trucks.” Row says one challenge he is trying to overcome is becoming better at making friends. He says the program here helps: “it’s usually not like boys vs girls, and stuff like that, so things don’t get ugly around here.”

Asked about his aspirations, Row says, “Well, I plan to be a videogame creator. Of course, I’ll also do a lot of animal science in Australia, and build spaceships, and I’ll also be an inventor. And I have an awesome idea for a novel. See, there’s a spaceship attacked by an evil robot called Ukog. Actually, he’s a cyborg who wants to take over a planet. Earth as well. And there he finds both friend and foe. And cool aliens. Basically take over the whole galaxy.” Who’s going to stop him, Row? Who’s the hero? “A kid of course!”

Row, you are *our hero*. We believe you can stop every Ukog you encounter, and it’s our distinct pleasure to support you in your adventures. We believe your creative powers are as vast as the galaxies you contemplate. Thank you for making us laugh, and for playing with us, and for teaching us about the fauna of the antipode. We can’t wait to read that book.
